Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kobus Neethling Institute website and the purchase of products, courses and services through our online store.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
- General
The website is operated by the Kobus Neethling Institute (“KNI”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
We sell various products and services, including:
- Physical products such as books and related materials;
- Digital products;
- Online courses and training programmes; and
- Other educational products and services.
Different conditions may apply depending on the type of product purchased.
- Product Information
We endeavour to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Images are provided for illustrative purposes and minor variations in physical products may occur.
We reserve the right to correct errors or omissions and to update product information where necessary.
- Prices
Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency indicated on the applicable product or checkout page.
Any applicable taxes, delivery charges or other fees will be displayed during checkout where applicable.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred and applicable law permits correction.
- Orders
Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products or services.
An order is considered accepted once we have received or confirmed payment and have accepted the order for processing.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of:
- Incorrect pricing or product information;
- Suspected fraud;
- Product unavailability;
- Payment failure;
- Geographic or eligibility restrictions applicable to a particular course or product; or
- Other circumstances that prevent us from lawfully or reasonably fulfilling the order.
Where we cancel a paid order, any amount due to the customer will be refunded using an appropriate payment method.
- Payment
Payment methods available on the website may include:
- Credit or debit card; and
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Card payments are processed through the payment service provider made available during checkout.
For EFT orders, the order may remain pending until the payment has cleared and can be verified.
Customers are responsible for using the correct order or payment reference where one is provided.
Products will generally not be dispatched and course access will generally not be activated until payment has been confirmed.
- Physical Products
Physical products include books and any other tangible goods purchased from our online store.
Delivery
Delivery times provided on the website or during checkout are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.
We will take reasonable steps to dispatch orders promptly but cannot guarantee delivery dates where delays arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.
Additional costs incurred because of incorrect delivery information may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.
Availability
All physical products are subject to availability.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer and offer an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, delayed fulfilment or refund.
- Online Courses and Digital Products
Online courses and digital products are delivered electronically and may be hosted on a third-party learning platform such as Kajabi.
After payment has been confirmed, customers may receive:
- An email invitation;
- A registration link;
- Account creation instructions;
- Login credentials; or
- Other instructions necessary to access the purchased course.
Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address when ordering.
- Course Access
Course access is granted to the person for whom the course was purchased unless expressly stated otherwise.
Login credentials and course access may not be:
- Shared with another person;
- Resold;
- Published online;
- Distributed to unauthorised users; or
- Used to provide multiple people with access under a single-user purchase.
We reserve the right to suspend access where we reasonably believe that an account is being shared, abused or used in breach of these Terms.
- Intellectual Property and Course Materials
Unless otherwise stated, all course content and materials are protected by intellectual property rights.
This may include:
- Videos;
- Audio recordings;
- Presentations;
- Worksheets;
- Assessments;
- Training manuals;
- Course notes;
- Graphics;
- Methodologies;
- Downloads;
- Written material; and
- Other educational content.
Purchasing a course grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use the material for its intended purpose.
Course material may not be copied, reproduced, republished, resold, distributed, uploaded or commercially exploited without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.
- Course Availability
We endeavour to maintain reliable access to online courses.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, internet outages, hosting problems, third-party platform outages or other technical circumstances.
Where reasonably possible, we will take steps to restore access.
Unless a course is expressly sold as providing lifetime access, access periods may be subject to the conditions displayed on the applicable course or product page.
- Course Outcomes
Our courses and educational products are intended to provide education, training and personal or professional development.
Individual results may vary.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing or completing a course does not guarantee employment, income, business results, accreditation, certification or any particular personal or professional outcome.
Where a particular course provides certification, accreditation or practitioner status, the specific requirements applicable to that course must be successfully completed.
- Returns – Physical Products
If you receive an incorrect, damaged or defective physical product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the problem.
Returns, replacements and refunds for physical goods will be handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
Where a return is accepted, the customer may be required to return the product in its original condition and packaging where reasonably applicable.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights that a consumer may have under applicable law.
- Digital Products and Online Course Refunds
Because online courses and digital products may provide immediate access to digital content, different cancellation and refund conditions may apply to these products.
Where access to digital course content has already been activated, accessed, downloaded or consumed, refunds may be restricted to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Any specific refund or cancellation terms displayed on the applicable course page or communicated during registration will form part of the terms applicable to that course.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
- Cancellations
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
For physical goods, cancellation may not be possible once the order has been dispatched.
For online courses and digital products, cancellation may be subject to whether access has already been supplied or activated.
All cancellation requests will be considered in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
- Geographic Restrictions
Certain products or courses may only be available to customers residing in specific countries or regions.
Where geographic restrictions are stated on a product or course page, the customer is responsible for satisfying those requirements.
We may request reasonable documentation to verify eligibility before providing access.
- Customer Accounts
Customers are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials;
- Providing accurate registration information;
- Keeping their information reasonably up to date; and
- Informing us if they believe their account has been accessed without authorisation.
- Acceptable Use
You may not use our website, products or services:
- For unlawful purposes;
- To infringe intellectual property rights;
- To interfere with the operation or security of our website;
- To attempt unauthorised access to another customer’s account;
- To distribute malicious software; or
- In any manner that may damage our systems or services.
- Third-Party Services
Certain functionality may be provided by third parties, including payment gateways, courier companies and online learning platforms.
We are not responsible for interruptions or failures caused solely by third-party services outside our reasonable control, subject to any rights available to you under applicable law.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of our website, courses or products.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability or consumer rights where such exclusion is prohibited by South African law.
- Privacy
Personal information collected through the website is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
- Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time.
The version published on the website at the time of an order will generally apply to that transaction, subject to applicable law.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute arising from the use of this website or the purchase of products or services will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African law.
