Having followed this link, you have a mind that needs to know whether what you are reading has relevance for you, for the future, or for the people around you. It indicates that you may have a front right-brain thinking preference (R1).

The explanation below should satisfy the R1 thinker. But why should you care? The long and the short of it is because you have a brain!

[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”2″ el_width=”80″ accent_color=”#198fb1″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3229″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1561124382032{margin-right: 5% !important;margin-left: 5% !important;}”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]

The world is changing faster than ever before and people are increasingly challenged to adapt. How many people, however, only take care of the surface of your lives and ignore what lies beyond that? It is not our physical state or even our intellect that lies at our roots; our roots dwell in how we think. Ultimately, the essence of everything we do starts in our brains.

Can you honestly say that beyond this point it is no longer important to practice how we think? That point does not exist. Regardless of your profession, there is always a need to adapt your thinking.

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”3403″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]For example, consider these instances:

  • •  Salesman: the way you sell interacts with the way your prospective client buys;
  • •  Psychologist: you have a pattern of thinking and dealing with problems while your client has a different pattern of thinking;
  • •  Entrepreneur: you may be good at coming up with big ideas but struggle figuring out the first step or remain focussed on short term goals;
  • •  Artist / musician: your thinking affects your art and creativity! If what you create always seems to come out the same, adapting the way you think about your art will help;
  • •  Architect, doctor, teacher, scientist, receptionist, athlete… everyone has to adapt to overcome their challenges.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]

Is there any situation where your brain does not directly impact pretty much everything you do?

Even with the advent of AI and other similarly “mystical inventions” (because let us be honest, we do not yet know what AI will mean for humanity), how we respond to these anomalies in our lives as contemporary humans begins with our thinking preferences. While there is the possibility that there will be inventions that will aid our ability to think (enhancing memory, etc.), it is unlikely for your preference in how you think to disappear. It may change in times of big upheaval in your life, but not go away entirely.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2945″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

We are not talking about intelligence here

A rocket scientist may not be able to comprehend the mastery of human interactions required by a primary school teacher. Who can say which requires more intelligence? Obviously, the results of their actions will be the proof of how intelligent they are in that environment. For both of them it took many years of learning and hands-on experience to get to where they are now. This means that they had to consciously dedicate themselves for long periods of time to practicing their “art”. One needs plenty of motivation to do so.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]

Motivation and thinking preference

Very often the enjoyment of something is enough to help us push through the difficult times. It may even be the difference between abandoning the pursuit of that goal (looking elsewhere for another more fulfilling opportunity) or persevering and becoming its master.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”3030″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]When we have the opportunity to do things that align with our thinking preferences, we are:

  • •  more likely to be dedicated,
  • •  have higher energy and
  • •  be more efficient.

This is because we are operating in a “mind space” within which we are most comfortable, and, therefore, is more enjoyable to us. Someone who likes plenty of freedom and room for expression may find a desk job oppressive. Others may greatly appreciate the organisation, familiarity and structure of working in the same place every day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1561124566550{padding-top: 5% !important;padding-bottom: 5% !important;background-color: #f4f4f4 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

This is the beauty of thinking preferences!

Every single person has their own ideal, and the world is a much better place for it. But not many of us are aware of these preferences: how many career seekers, children, relationships, parents and, pretty much everyone, are worse off for it?

Picture relationships where the people involved understand each other beyond what is said, into their very minds!  What about working environments where people are put into positions that would bring them the most satisfaction?

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1561124625908{padding-right: 5% !important;padding-left: 5% !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2980″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Imagine parents understanding their child’s language, and those children understanding themselves!

Imagine those same children being able to apply what they know about themselves into finding study habits that work for them… and parents who support the sometimes strange study preferences of their child![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]What if teachers offered their students bespoke lessons, catering for the different thinking preferences in the class. Or being able to approach their more “unruly”students with a wisdom that accommodates these children’s needs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1561120848310{padding-top: 5% !important;padding-right: 2% !important;padding-bottom: 5% !important;padding-left: 2% !important;background-color: #91a8d2 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2941″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]

Helping teachers become Whole Brain Practitioners

One of our main pursuits with the Neethling Brain Instruments (NBI®) is to help radicalize the education system. We do this by bringing teachers together for a conference that help them to become what we call Whole Brain Practitioners

[/vc_column_text][vc_cta h2=”We host yearly creativity conferences (ACRE)” style=”outline” color=”white” add_icon=”left” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-slideshare” i_color=”custom” i_background_style=”rounded” i_background_color=”white” i_on_border=”true” i_custom_color=”#91a8d2″]The conference specifically focusses on business and education. All the teachers who attend this conference are afforded the opportunity through discerning sponsors.[/vc_cta][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_cta h2=”Each teacher takes the NBI® Adult profile” style=”outline” color=”white” add_icon=”left” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-user” i_color=”custom” i_background_style=”rounded” i_background_color=”white” i_on_border=”true” i_custom_color=”#91a8d2″]This profiles gives the teachers an idea of their general thinking preferences. They spend the next three days attending workshops filled with international guests who come armed with creativity tools for use in educational settings.[/vc_cta][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_cta h2=”Teachers end the conference knowing more about themselves” style=”outline” color=”white” add_icon=”left” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-bolt” i_color=”custom” i_background_style=”rounded” i_background_color=”white” i_on_border=”true” i_custom_color=”#91a8d2″]Regardless of what they learn in the workshops, the basis of all the creativity to follow starts by getting to know yourself. And having become better acquainted with themselves, they will be more aware of what things about themselves will work best and where they are best applied.[/vc_cta][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]

Having gone through the training, they will hopefully be left with the knowing that nobody is one thing and only that always. They will also have the entirety of the brain at our disposal. It is just for us to learn what our “defaults” are, and what lies yet dormant and under-utilised in our brains.
